It is assumed that such research is based upon previous research. The site also includes links to seed fund sources and recipients, as well as information on specific research being conducted. It appears that there is an acknowledgment of other researchers and organizations in the nursing field. At the same time, there is an attempt to serve the profession by improving its operations. It must be recognized that the Website is dedicated to disseminating information about AONE, as opposed to providing empirical research documents. Hence, sufficient reference is made to other sources whenever relevant.
Verifiability:
Because the AONE Website is not a research report, verifiability is not established by means of a reference list. However, the "Staff" page and "Contact" page includes email addresses where participants can be reached. The other pages also include links and contact information of persons who can be contacted for...
The last-published press release was on August 28, 2009. Reference is also made to the Institute's 2009 Raffle and Fundraiser. Reference to awards and scholarships are dated at 2009. It appears that no new information has been added for 2010, but it has to be recognized that the year is not yet very old. I believe that the site is sufficiently current and that information for 2010 will be entered on a timely basis.
In general, I feel that the AONE Website is of good quality and highly informative. It serves its purpose, which is to provide information about the Institute and its work. Depending upon donations for its existence, the organization's solicitation of these funds is not unreasonable. It is a well-constructed site that provides high-quality information.
